Any and all donations will simply be put towards continuing and growing this project.

I’ve been asked enough times, I’m just going to put the button here and if you feel it’s something you want to donate to, I appreciate it.

What is the Jesse Project?

Fuck Cancer. ;Keep Fucking Going. Be A Good Human.

The Jesse Project. “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” This is a quote by the iconic actress and humanitarian Audrey Hepburn. It is a metaphor for hope and optimism that gardening fosters, symbolizing a belief in future growth, rewards, and a better future for the person planting and the world around them. I could not hope for anything better.

The Jesse project came to be, because an amazing woman sent me three African violets that showed up a day before my second round of treatment. Treatment is hell. But because of this, it made the rest of treatment easier, and the Jesse Project idea was starting to grow. If what we do here can make anyone experience what I did the day the first three violets arrived and caught me off guard, the entire project has been a success.

Ironically enough, the fact that I have stage 4 Lymphoma and a plant problem seems like I wasn’t just meant to do this, I was given the ability to help purify the air I breathe. At some point I will start telling my story but that will be a very long road.

This is not just about cancer. The Jesse Project will hopefully give others a moment, a small moment, where all the hard experiences in life disappear for that moment. The interactions we have had so far give me such great faith in humanity that I am able to forget the road I am on, and hopefully, if you are reading this, it helps you too.

I have made bracelets (and sent them all over the country (and other countries) and grown African Violets among other plants that I plan to give to others (locally) going through ugly life circumstances. As I got the bracelets before the rest is ready, we have started giving them out. We are on two continents, 13 states and at least four countries.

As the plant part comes about, we may create a way to submit a “request” so to speak, for someone that needs a moment, and maybe a reminder of that moment when they see it regularly, to keep on keepin’ on. I’m sure this could get out of hand fast, so when we get to that, I cannot promise every single request can be filled. As of October 2025, I have 113 African violets almost ready to go, but they take about 8-9 months from seed to flower.

Fuck Cancer; Keep Fucking Going. Be A Good human.

Take me to the Blog to show where my bracelet is!
