Court-Ordered Services
-
Co-parenting counseling is a tool that many judges use. The judge wants you and your ex to be able to work out custody issues without involving the court, this is why co-parenting counseling is often ordered.
Co-parenting counseling is designed to help parents move away from adversarial roles as former partners toward cooperative and complementary roles as co-parents, thus encouraging the active participation of both parents in the child's life. When done successfully, co-parenting counseling can improve the child's confidence and self-esteem by assuring him or her of the security of both parents' love and involvement, and can diminish the child's risk of future relationship and personal problems on account of the parent's separation.
-
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation is available to families that require therapeutic intervention in order to have successful parenting time.
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation is frequently offered to families in need of a third party to ensure safety. The focus is to create a safe place for children and parents to enjoy their time together.
-
Monitored phone contact is offered with Therapeutic Supervised Visitation services to maintain the relationship between parent and child(ren) and provide a means of supervision for the contact during a difficult time so that both parents and child(ren) maintain healthy and safe communication.
